The Vayu Wing Foil Board FLYR stands for a simple and clear design structure. Maximum volume with the shortest length. This makes it possible to ride a significantly shorter board than you thought possible. Add to that the agile board feel paired with absolute control. The FLYR is the go-to board for every advanced wingfoiler.
The design of the FLYR has a stepped rounded kick tail behind the foil boxes that allows for active pumping and bouncing on the foil. This board wants to be actively moved on the foil. As the shapes are based on surf foil shapes, the smallest sizes 4.4 and 4.6 can also be used as a surf foil board.
Bevelled rails for enough freedom for turns in waves or tight freestyle moves. The deep V/double concave in the nose supports bouncing upwards on touchdowns.
The centred volume distribution allows you to stay in the footstraps at all times.

- NOSE V-SHAPE
Helps cushion landings. The V-Shape in the nose area breaks the water surface instead of sticking to it and makes it easier to get back on the foil quickly during landings and touch-downs. Smooth dipping and fast rebouncing are thus possible. Low volume in the nose makes it possible to point the nose without really getting stuck. Steeply sloped rails and the V-shaped nose shape coupled with the double concave make it possible to ride tight radii and not cut off, even when the nose touches the water. In addition, the double concave allows air to flow quickly into the underwater hull, freeing the board as quickly as possible.
- Compact outline & generous volume
More manoeuvrable thanks to the short and compact shape. This means tighter radii and easier control even in the air with maximum volume in the shortest length. The extra volume in the nose and tail provides stability during displacement. The volume in the nose helps to absorb and cushion stalls and touch-downs. Easy pumping is guaranteed due to the shortness of the boards.
- Concave deck
The concave deck lowers the riders' centre of gravity for more control and comfort on the foil or in the water. The rails are deliberately shaped more voluminously to stabilise the water position. In turns, the concave deck shape also helps to put more pressure on the toeside.
- Centreline EVA rail and tailkick pad
For quick foot positioning, a raised EVA centreline has been added, making it quick and easy to find the right foot position. In addition, the EVA centreline increases grip once you are standing in the footstraps.
The Kick Tail Pad provides comfort when launching and foiling without foot straps.
- FOOT STRAP INSERTS
The FLYR comes standard with the "Y" strap configuration with the option to place the back foot in the duckstance position or slightly off-centre. The additional row of foot strap plugs allows everyone to find and personalise their optimal stance.
- Sandwich Technology
Durable and extremely lightweight construction. The lighter the board, the more agile it feels during manoeuvres or jumps. It pumps better and gives the surfer a direct board feel. A lightweight but durable glass fibre epoxy construction is wrapped around the EPS core with special reinforcements in a complex production process. The foil boxes are used with PVC reinforcement (just like the footstrap plugs) to guarantee durability. In the stand area we use a generous bamboo reinforcement to guarantee impact resistance and increased stiffness.
- Membrane ventilation screw
The ventilation screw allows air to flow in and out of the board thanks to the membrane technology. At the same time, water has no chance to enter the board. As the ventilation screw is factory fitted, it is no longer necessary to adjust it. Large-volume sandwich boards are affected by large temperature fluctuations. To avoid damage, it is nevertheless recommended not to store the board in the sun or expose it to extreme temperatures.
