The Take Off has generated great success and enthusiasm, especially among our riders in wing freestyle competitions. Dream Team riders have used our latest and smallest Take Off models in a number of events.

The 2024 Take Off has been completely redesigned to be a more performance orientated freestyle wing foil model. A new size range with slightly longer but narrower sizes has allowed us to achieve faster take offs and smoother flying at high speed. The streamlined shape incorporates a thin nose for faster and more balanced flying, and the truncated tail creates a narrow pin at the tip for reduced drag in the air and water. The bottom has sharp rails with a flat centre section for predictability and recovery on touchdowns from any angle.

The new Take Off range is suitable for advanced riders, with sizes from 5'3″ x 25.5″ for foiling with wing and SUP foiling, down to 4'0″ x 18.5″ perfect for high performance wing and foil surfing.

The larger 7'0″ x 31″ and 6'3″ x 28″ are designed for heavier riders who want to take their winging or SUP foiling to new heights.

ALL NEW SHAPE / SIZE RANGE

Due to the longer and narrower design, the Take Off creates a faster take-off and has better aerodynamics for a smoother flight.

NEW NARROWER THINNER NOSE

• Focused on performance, easier to manoeuvre in turns and faster in flight.

NEW CURVED ROCKER

• The rocker is finely tuned for a stable flight and at the same time very forgiving when touching down.
• The rocker is optimised for the best control.

NEW RECESSED STANDING AREA

• The lowered standing area ensures the best possible connection and creates a direct connection to the foil. Smaller models are even more recessed to ensure the best possible control.

FLAT BOTTOM

• The smooth release with sharp edges and the flat bottom ensure an immediate start and better predictability on touch down.

CUTAWAY TAIL

• The cutaway forms a pin tail for better release at take-off and less resistance when touching down.

NEW BRUSHED DECK PAD

• The new deck pad is easy on the knees and offers comfort and grip at the same time. The Take Off also has a kick pad for surfing in the waves.

NEW V FOOTSTRAP SET

• Designed for the best comfort and performance in wingboarding, with the industry's best Yulex neoprene construction to deliver a soft and secure footstrap.
• With a 60 degree angle, the new footstrap is designed to mould perfectly to the shape of the foot when inserted into our range of foil boards.
• Multiple screw holes for the footstrap are incorporated into the reinforced Yulex, allowing the rider to adjust the footstrap to their preferred riding position and angle.

NEW BOARD SOCK

• Reduces paper waste and protects your board from dust, scratches and UV damage. Made from stretchy polyester, it adapts to different board shapes. The iconic blue board sock with secure drawstring fastening ensures optimum board care.

• Inserts for the carry strap. (Shoulder carry strap available from your Starboard dealer - not standard on Lite Tech boards)

BLUE CARBON

Premium Construction

• premium 150g biaxial carbon wraps the entire board and bonds with an overlap on the deck and bottom to create a flat stringer that increases the overall breaking strength.
• 2 layers of fibreglass form a sandwich around the biaxial carbon for ultimate impact protection
• The combination of double T-stringer deck and bottom increases the overall breaking strength
• Multiple reinforcements in the stand area, nose and tail increase the impact resistance.
