Overview
Our foil flying school makes foiling easier than ever! Our "Do it yourself" learning aid consists of 3 additional masts with different lengths - 15" (38cm), 24" (61cm) and 30" (76cm). Youcan choose the whole package but also individual mast lengths as an addition to an existing Hover Glide FWIND1 or FWIND2 (35,5" / 90cm) are possible.
1st step: Taxi Step (15" - 38cm mast) To get a feel for how a foil board reacts it is much easier and safer to use a short and easier to handle mast. The first step in our foil flying school is the so-called "taxi step" - like a plane practicing on the runway first. So with the 15" mast you will learn the basics like carrying the foil, swimming or bodydragging with the foil or finding the right take-off position. With the shorter mast you will learn the basics much easier and safer than with a normal mast length. Now that you have familiarised yourself with your board, you will quickly have covered your first shorter distances in and on the water and are ready for the next step.
2nd step:Take-off and landing" (24" - 61cm mast) The 24" mast is an indispensable tool for your first successful glides. The "flown" distances between the touchdowns will quickly increase. You will be amazed how well the new mast supports the handling and you can feel the connection between kite control and balance of the board. Now nothing stands in the way of your first controlled rides without putting the board down. You will love the feeling of gliding over the water so smoothly and almost silently!
3rd step:"Last step" (30" - 76cm mast) Now you have reached the 30" mast and will appreciate our foil flying school with its easy to learn steps. Starting with the correct launch position, taking off, the correct body position, to increasing distances, you now have the understanding needed to complete the last important manoeuvres. Controlling the power and speed, as well as running upwind and downwind will quickly become a real foiler. But best of all - you will have skipped many frustrating and painful experiences!What'smore, you can use the 24 and 30" mast in shallow waters without fear of ground contact!
