The development of the much faster running ARTPRO wings led us to experiment with reduced chord rear stabilisers to maximise this new found speed advantage. With minimal changes to the span (only 7mm) and a drastic reduction in chord to 55, 50, 45, 40 and 35mm, we saw positive improvements in speed, control, balance and feel. The Skinnies have inherited many of the features that make our Progressive range so popular, such as the precise feel and seamless turn initiation plus recovery.
They have very low drag and provide more speed and turning pleasure. Heavier riders and less experienced riders will gravitate towards the 55, 50 and 45 Chord models. Lighter riders or those with more experience can opt for the 40 or 35mm Chord options for extreme drag reduction.
The skinny tail wings inspire confidence by providing a more comfortable ride at high speeds and reducing the normal front foot pressure that can occur when foiling at high speeds. They are a perfect fit for ARTPRO foils, but remember that your HPS, ART, PNG and even BSC will also benefit from the Skinny high performance DNA.
