AXIS Foil Mast K/S-Series Freeride 19mm

Designed to fit our entire foil line, AXIS Foil masts are stiff, strong and ready for any use or condition. We designed our masts to give our customers a very direct feel for their foil, which is critical for foiling. We have even sourced our own high quality aluminium and bought in tonnes to ensure we only use the highest quality raw materials for our foils. Our masts are 224% stiffer than the 15mm thick masts (of most other foils on the market). It's even stiffer than any other carbon mast on the market. This gives you more control and quick input from your feet to the front wing.

All mast sizes available:

1. 450mm (15.6 inches) - The 450mm foiling mast is ideal for first flights while you learn how to start foiling. Most riders only spend a few hours or less on the shortest foil mast we make (450mm) before moving on to the longer foil masts.
2. 600mm (23.6 inches) - The 600mm mast is the most common mast that you will spend many hours on initially. You will ride it for a while before moving up to a higher mast if you SUP, surf, downwind, wake or kite. Some riders may never need a higher mast depending on their riding style, local conditions or the discipline they ride.
3. 680mm (26.6 inches) - The 680mm mast is the most common foil mast length for prone surf foiling and all-round SUP. If there is a mast size for SUP, Prone Surf or Wake Foiling, the 680mm mast is your choice.
4. 750mm (29.5 inch) - The 750mm mast is mainly used for bigger waves, downwinders and advanced riding or as a surfy option for kite foiling.
5. 820mm (32.2in) - The 820mm mast is used primarily for larger waves, downwinders and advanced riding, or as a surfy option for kitefoiling.
6. 900 mm (35.4 in) - The 900 mm mast is the choice of big wave enthusiasts and tow-ins when combined with the 680 mm front wing. It is also the choice of downwinder pros when competing in the swells of the open ocean. The AXIS 900mm mast is the main size for wind foilers and kite foilers when they reach that they are no longer beginners.
7. 1050mm (41.3 inches) - The 1050mm mast is mainly used for downwinders in big waves or for more aggressive riding and speed when kitefoiling.

16mm masts are recommended for wings 910mm and smaller.

About Axis aluminium masts in general:

Our 19mm aluminium mast was developed after countless hours of computer analysis, resulting in a 2.24x improvement in stiffness over most other brands' 15mm masts, and is even stiffer than most carbon masts available today. This makes for a very direct and predictable feel, especially during manoeuvres, and makes it the best choice for beginners and intermediate riders. Many experienced riders choose our 19mm aluminium as they prefer its superior stiffness and predictable feel, especially when paired with larger front wings (1050 or larger). Thanks to the affordable price, riders can carry multiple mast lengths for different foiling disciplines, sea conditions or locations, or switch to a longer mast once they have mastered the basics. Thanks to the modular nature of our system, switching is quick and easy.

We also offer a 16mm mast option for lighter riders or prone and kite-foilers with smaller wings. The 16mm mast is 1.67 times stiffer than most 15mm masts on the market.
Our aluminium masts work in conjunction with the AXIS base plate to connect to the board and our "doodad" to connect to the hull. The doodad is often overlooked but is our secret weapon, providing industry-leading stiffness between the mast, hull and foil. Compared to other brands, you will feel the difference immediately! Both the black and red hulls can be fitted to all our aluminium masts.
